Jackson is an economist with a focus on quantitative economics, econometrics and regulatory economics. Jackson has worked with a broad range of public and private sector clients across a range of industries (government, energy and resources, urban planning, waste and retail) to deliver tailored approaches and bespoke solutions using his advanced analytical insights. Prior to joining Frontier, Jackson was a management consultant and associate economist with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Australia.
Jackson’s academic background includes economics and finance in both theoretical and applied contexts. He completed an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Melbourne and was awarded a Kinsman Studentship for his thesis which explored the relationship between trade portfolio compositions and economic growth volatility. Prior to this, Jackson completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Economics and Finance, and undertook a volunteering program in Phnom Penh, Cambodia as a micro-finance consultant.
When given the chance, Jackson enjoys adding to his passport, particularly from countries which might be considered a little ‘off the beaten track’. Jackson also enjoys reading books on philosophy and history, especially over a Saturday morning coffee.
