Matthew is an economist with more than twenty years of experience in applying economics to regulation and public policy.
Prior to joining Frontier Economics, he was an Executive Director at the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART), where he led IPART’s economic regulation of the water and local government sectors in NSW. While at IPART, Matthew led a range of public reviews, all of which involved applying economic analysis to regulation and public policy and extensive stakeholder consultation.
Since joining Frontier Economics, Matthew has advised clients on a range of issues related to project evaluation, public policy, regulation, pricing and cost recovery. Frontier Economics' clients benefit from his regulatory experience, and his strong analytical, problem solving, communication and stakeholder liaison skills.
In addition to IPART, Matthew’s experience includes positions as a Senior Economist at the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA), and as a Manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) Economics team.
