The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales (IPART) has published its draft decision on regulated retail electricity prices for 2013-14 to 2015-16. IPART’s draft decision is that retail electricity prices should increase by an average of 3% on 1 July 2013. IPART is expected to complete its review in June 2013.

Frontier (Australia) advises IPART on the wholesale electricity prices for retailers supplying regulated customers. For this current determination, Frontier has advised on energy purchase costs and key input assumptions, such as generation capital costs and the costs of coal and gas in the National Electricity Market.
